Cafe Plaid and Jazz in June will host a special jazz jam to welcome the Oklahoma Arts Conference to Norman, Tuesday evening, Oct. 12.
Jazz in June is held the last weekend in June with an audience of over 50,000. Jazz masters who have appeared include: Ellis Marsallis, Chuck Mangione, Paquito D’Riveria and T.S. Monk III. Café Plaid is the proud recipient of the Norman Arts Council’s Award for Business of the Year. Not only is the café a regular venue for the Songwriters Association of Norman, and open mic nights, they exhibit and sell artists’ work at no cost or commission.
